About Us

KennMar is a commercial real estate investment firm in Speedway, Indiana. With over 50 years of combined experience, we’ve been finding new opportunities for development and redevelopment and managing every detail from start to finish.

Our Philosophy

Smart development requires a knack for anticipating what the market will demand in the coming years.

Roadway expansion projects, local industry growth, and municipal improvement projects are just some of the factors we look for when finding sites for development and redevelopment. We also look for retail development opportunities that would allow for multiple tenants serving a variety of needs, to ensure long-term economic stability.

Our Values

Serving the Community

While our goal is to find the best opportunities for our investors, we always put the needs of the community first – if local residents oppose a development, or if a project could in any way have a negative impact, we won’t move forward with it. When we ask ourselves, “Have I done any good in the world today?” we should be able to answer with a resounding “Yes.”

At KennMar’s headquarters – a former freestanding bank branch – congregants of a nearby church had for years been using the parking lot during off-peak hours for overflow parking. When we redeveloped the bank branch to become our home office, we talked with church officials and let them know they were welcome to continue using the lot. That’s what we mean by “doing good” and avoiding negative impact – the parking lot fulfills an important need in the community and should continue to do so.

Our Commitment to Excellence

With every project, we consider how we can produce an outstanding result. For a builder, an office building is just a construction project, but for the people who will work there, that building is a home away from home. It’s where they spend most of their week, and the finishing details can greatly enhance their daily experience. Interior spaces with abundant natural light and exteriors with beautiful landscaping are just a few features that can make people feel more relaxed and happy in the workplace.
